WMST D001-60Z: Introduction to Women's Studies

Description	An examination of the varying positions of women in society, emphasizing the diverse nature of women's experiences. Includes investigation of family, work, embodiment, popular culture and social movements. Focuses on power and gender roles and how they vary for women and men of different racial, ethnic, class, national and sexuality groups.
Requisites	(See general education pages for the requirement this course meets.) Advisory: EWRT 1A or EWRT 1AH or (EWRT 1AS and EWRT 1AT) or ESL 5.

Students must have access to a computer, the internet and an individual email address. We recommend a laptop or desktop computer to successfully complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and tests.
